Account Manager - (Auckland, Wellington and Regional Locations)
What's the role?
To support the continued growth of the civil and construction sector, we are constantly looking for experienced, customer focused Account Managers to join our sales team throughout New Zealand. The ideal individual will be highly driven with a need to succeed.

What does the role involve?
At Hilti, we work a little differently. We have a direct sales model which allows us to ensure a high-level customer interaction at every encounter. We love our customers! Far from traditional cold calling, it’s about nurturing relationships and developing contacts on site with customers and helping them find the most innovative and cost-efficient solutions for their needs. It means rolling up your sleeves to demonstrate some of the most innovative products in the industry, along with all the services and after-care that come with the Hilti name to ensure that Hilti’s product basket is optimised.
You could find yourself on construction sites or in offices and warehouses. You need to be happy to get your hands dirty but also be able to adapt your approach to the customer in front of you – it could be a senior management team one day and a sole trader the next.
The Account Management role is very autonomous, your red Hilti van will be your office and you will plan, organise and prioritise your time to ensure effectiveness within your territory. You’ll be part of a supportive, field-based team who are only a phone call away, but you’ll be working by yourself, so you need to be comfortable with building relationships remotely and motivating yourself.

What you need is:
- Strong Civil/ Engineering or Construction acumen
- A customer centric approach and a passion for customer excellence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment, courage and competitive drive.
- A thirst to learn and challenge yourself.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not essential.
- Previous Sales/Customer service/retail experience desirable.
- Full working rights in New Zealand.
- Current New Zealand Drivers license.
