What's the role?
We are currently seeking a customer focused Account Manager who has technical knowledge in façade drawing to join our Auckland-based sales team. This is no ordinary sales job, as ours is uniquely high-performing with a supportive working culture. The ideal individual will be a highly driven with a need to succeed.
Your role as an Account Manager for Hilti New Zealand you will have direct high-level customer interaction at every encounter. You will create and develop of customers with the implementation of sales strategies, technical problem solving in the façade space, and the introduction of new products. Essentially, You will work with our customers to be able to identify through in-depth understanding of façade plans what Hilti products should and could be used to get the biggest share of wallet possible.

What does the role involve?
You could find yourself on construction sites or in offices and warehouses. You need to be happy to get your hands dirty but also be able to adapt your approach to the customer in front of you – it could be a senior management team one day and a sole trader the next.
Ours is a model of professional consultative selling. It is like no other Account Management role. You will be the end-all-be-all to your customers, utilising Hilti's product and service basket to help them achieve their goals. It means rolling up your sleeves to demonstrate some of the most innovative products in the industry, along with all the services and after-care that come with the Hilti name. Far from traditional cold calling, it’s about nurturing relationships and developing contacts on site with customers and helping them find the most innovative and cost-efficient solutions for their needs.

You are responsible for your own achievements and sales and therefore need to be comfortable working autonomously, building relationships remotely and making decisions.

What you need is:
- A methodical and driven approach to sales; with a sound ability to identify decision makers

- A background in Civil Engineering, architecture or construction is essential
